Assessment-Driven Pilot Selection for Private Aviation

Homepage

Raising the Standard for Professional Pilot Placement

Hiring a pilot should never come down to a résumé alone. Sun Crest Pilot Selection gives private aviation operators a cleaner, more complete view of each candidate through rigorous assessment, focused screening, and mission-driven recruiting. We help operators identify pilots with the judgment, professionalism, discipline, and operational fit required to perform at the highest level.

Our process is designed for operators who need more than surface level qualifications. By evaluating how each pilot thinks, communicates, prepares, and responds under pressure, Sun Crest Pilot Selection helps uncover the qualities that matter most in real-world flight operations. The result is a more informed selection process that supports safer hiring decisions, stronger flight departments, and better long-term alignment between pilot and operator.

Know more, hire smarter, and fly with confidence.

Hire the Pilot, Not the Résumé

Comprehensive
Pilot Profile

A pilot's certificates, flight time, and employment history only tell part of the story. We build a deeper, more comprehensive profile of each candidate through rigorous assessment of knowledge, judgment, communication, workload management, decision-making, professionalism, and operational readiness. We help operators understand who the pilot is, how they think, and how they are likely to perform when the mission demands more than a pilot certificate.

Pilot Selection Backed
by Assessment

Every aircraft, operation, and flight department has different demands. We evaluate the mental, emotional, and physical attributes that support safe, professional performance in real-world aviation environments. Our process identifies pilots whose skills, temperament, and decision-making abilities align with the mission, culture, and expectations of the operator.

Hire With Greater
Confidence

Hiring the wrong pilot can create operational risk, cultural friction, and costly turnover. Sun Crest Pilot Selection gives operators a more informed hiring picture before making a final decision. By combining structured assessment with private aviation recruiting insight, we help operators select pilots with the professionalism, discipline, and capability to perform when it matters most.

Sun Crest Pilot Network

The Sun Crest Pilot Network connects highly qualified professional pilots with Part 135 and Part 91 operators looking for more than a résumé with minimum eligibility requirements met.

Participation is completely free for pilots.

Operators pay to access a carefully developed pool of candidates who have completed our standardized application, screening, and assessment process—making it faster and easier to identify pilots who meet their specific experience requirements, operational needs, and company culture.

Because the right opportunity is about more than flight time, our application process is intentionally thorough. We want to understand where you would ideally like to be based, which position represents the right next step in your career, and what your ultimate dream job looks like. We also consider the lifestyle, schedule, compensation, and professional environment in which you are most likely to thrive.

Some pilots would be thrilled to earn $50,000 per year while gaining valuable experience in their ideal location. Others are not interested in making a move for less than $150,000 per year. Neither answer is wrong—but honesty matters. The more clearly we understand your priorities, the better equipped we are to introduce you to an operator whose mission, expectations, and opportunities align with your goals.

Our objective is not simply to fill an open seat. We want to create lasting connections that bring out the best in both the pilot and the operator. That means balancing career advancement with quality of life, matching qualifications with operational demands, and identifying the personal and professional attributes that make someone the right pilot for a particular organization.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Sun Crest Pilot Network. We uphold professional standards designed to protect the quality and credibility of the network.

At a minimum, applicants must hold:

- Commercial Pilot Certificate

- Instrument Rating

- Valid First or Second-Class Medical Certificate

- Valid Passport

Your career will not advance by accident. Pursue excellence, remain actively involved in your professional development, and prepare yourself before the right opportunity arrives.

Think you have what it takes? Show us who you are, where you want to go, and how committed you are to getting there.

Résumé Submission

Submit your résumé to be considered for current and future opportunities with Part 91 and Part 135 operators. Our team reviews each candidate's experience, qualifications, and professional background to identify where you may be a strong fit.
